up

I'm home bored out of my mind ,I'd much rather be out with friends but you can have it all I guess.I've called everyone but of course everyone is busy thats how it always goes.
So now I'm forced to watch TV.
While channel surfing I came across a show I used to watch all the time as a child.
"Are you afraid of the dark"
At's a very fond memory of mine.I remember the opening was so scary to me.
It was really funny thinking of how scared I used to be because It's comedy to me now.
I know you guys remember it too and I thought it might my make you smile as hard as I did.
So from me to you :)

And the " He thinks were white trash "shit ,Obama is half white!!!
These people are extremely ignorant and sad.

Love was so much fun !
It always is but this time it was especially fun because I'd finally got to see a few poets and artist I'd been wanting to see for a while.
Aja Monet

(Click photo for myspace music)
Queen Godis
(click photo for myspace music)
Spoken Movement
(click photo for myspace music)The energy was high the vibe was right and the music and talent that was in there was Crazy.Sciryl,Aja Monet,Kesed,Akil Dasan, Queen Godis,Spoken Movement and of course Oveous Maximus the man behind it all fucked up the stage. Kesed hit us off with a few poems and his energy was amazing.
Akil dasan later joined him along with Sciryl for one of the newer poems
and a personal fav " Holding all the pain in your heart"Then Oveous hit the stage and his band was fucking dope! I got chills.
:)
Sciryl and Kesed jumped on stage
" no stems and seeds"
Blitz the ambassador came threw and said a few words.
Then Spoken Movement then came on the stage and gave a crazy performance .
Queen GODIS joined him for one of the songs and that was dope too! ( how many times am I going to use that word)
Towards th end he left the stage and came back with this costume on
" Rapper Man"
It was great fun!

This weekend was one of the best weekends I've had in a long time.I went and saw an excellent film," Miracle at St.Annas" a spike lee joint. He really out did his self with this one!
The landscapes and architecture accompanied by the phenomenal acting and soundtrack are what made this movie so amazing for me.If you haven't already seen it I really recommend you do.So during the movie when it reached the climax we started to talk a little bit you know the regular " Oh My god's and Yes's!!!" and this one chic that was sitting in front of us on the other side of the theater yells " CAN YOU PLEASE BE QUIET" were like "Woah alright".We didn't really say much for the remainder of the movie out of courtesy but let me tell you when the movie was over and we were all leaving she grilled all of us.
I laughed thinking to myself" wow she's really mad" but we'd left the theater so I didn't think to much else of it.While I was taking pictures of the marquee she'd come outside and confronted all of my friends.I didn't realize what was goign on, I thought they were in a cypher or something Because a lot of them are poets. It wasn't until I'd really gotten over to them that I'd realized it was the chick from the movie Telling us about how bad we made the entire black race look by behaving the way we did in the theater.
I was already over it!
It was clear to me that she was only worried that the Caucasian folk would look at her funny based on how we acted but I'm telling you were weren't even bad.
She tried to front and say that she was" concerned about us" but I knew better than that so I walked away arm and arm with Shar'dai and Cordial and Kesed left as well. Janine Kiara and Nay stayed and argued with her but came back for shortly after we left it was just funny!
Anyway we went to this really beautiful spot in the cut that had some delicious food! And the lemonade was the best fucking lemonade I'd ever tasted!
Thanks Janine!LolWe engaged in conversation and shared mad laughs I really had good time .We went to love and that was dope but I'll talk about that in the next post
