The Golden Age

Gwen Verdon has become synonymous with Beyonce and "Single Ladies"and hence forth more popular for "Mexican breakfast" the routine that inspired the video. The choreography for Mexican Breakfast" was done by her husband Bob Fosse whom I happen to love and admire. He's perhaps the most famous American theater Choreographer and for damn good reason.
He's responsible for "Sweet charity","Cabaret","All that Jazz and more. He has truly been an inspiration to me as a performer and choreographer and his wife Gwen was a favorite of mine growing up as well. They have a great interview together in which they talk about her performance in "Damn Yankees". I love the movie and the interview is from 1964 and was probably buried in some film stack before Rick Mackay found it and put it into his Documentary
"Broadway : The Golden Age".It's a Lovely Documentary that any Broadway lover should have I think. Here's the clip i've been ranting about .

A while ago my girl Janine asked me if I knew any female Sneaker fiends she could interview.I really couldn't think of any but I remembered that I just added this dope virtual artist named Salena.I wondered if she'd be interested but above all I wondered if she would even respond to my message. Despite all of my concerns I asked after all a no is no unless you ask. I sent the message asking her and not only did she respond but she was really cool and very interested in doing an interview with her. Janine told me that Salena hit up the Big boss of Female sneaker fiend like "This girl Coco sent me a message on myspace" and big boss told Janine!. It was def a funny because she addressed me as Coco which is one of my alter egos.
I hadn't realized that I never really introduced myself! LMAO

Today I will finally have this meeting with a very important man.
He could very easily change my future.I taught dance last year voluntarily, I was on commission but never got paid.I didn't mind,Teaching that class was very rewarding for me .I learned to be more confident and I became more professional and I realized that I'd really love to teach in the future(amongst many other things).Anyway ,He came to my aunt looking for me and my aunt gave him my contact info.He said he as about to have a big meeting about some academic programs and wanted to meet wit me!
ME!

It was so funny because when I got the news I had just woken up and I was laying in my bed thinking about how badly I needed a job. My mom came in and like" GUESS WHAT" and told me what my aunt told her and I was like "WOW,Thats crazy I was JUST thinking about a job."

So I'm off .
I'll tell you how it went.

So Solange ,The Soul Angel just dropped the video for T.O.N.Y and I think it's cute.

I can see it now ,Robots on the floor of Macy's helping me find my clothes and directing me to the right department.Robots will replace cashiers at shop right!

Occasionally My friends and I will get together,play dress up and take photos of ourselves.

It keeps us young and it's kind of therapeutic :)
The laughs , music and food are just the remedy for a long sometimes stressful week.Were all running around working, studying and taking those necessary steps towards accomplishing our goals in life.
Sometimes we get so wrapped in it all you know?
We never forget about each other though.
One of us will always make the call to either get together for our annual Pitty party, Late night desert ,Slumber party or Photo shoot. It's always a good time just being with these guys.
We never let 5 minutes go by without a laugh.
I 'm so happy that I have them in my life right now.
